Karen studied psychology at Clark University and then pursued a social work degree at Boston University because she believes in the ability of individuals to grow and change. Throughout her career, she has worked with children and families in a variety of settings, including foster care, adoption, early intervention, home visiting with teen parents, and group practice.
After her first child was born, Karen grew interested in infancy and early childhood, completed a post-graduate fellowship in infant mental health, and is endorsed by the alliance for infant mental health as a clinical mentor. Karen provides evaluation, consultation, brief therapeutic intervention, triage, and referral guidance at Post Road Pediatrics. She lives locally with her husband and 2 cats, enjoying any time she gets with her young adult children, and baking for family and friends.
