Patient Code of Conduct

Post Road Pediatrics is committed to providing high quality healthcare and building a healthy and thriving community. Everyone should expect a safe, caring, and inclusive environment at our practice. Our new Patient Code of Conduct helps us to meet this goal. Words or actions that are disrespectful, racist, discriminatory, hostile, or harassing are not welcome. Examples of these include:

  1. Physical or verbal threats and assaults

  2. Cursing or vulgar/sexual words or actions

  3. Offensive comments about others’ race, accent, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other personal traits

  4. Refusal to see a clinician or other staff member based on their personal traits or beliefs

  5. Disruption of another patient’s care or experience

If we believe you have violated the Code with unwelcome words or actions, you will be given the chance to explain your point of view. We will always carefully consider your response before we make any decisions about future care at Post Road Pediatrics. Some violations of this Code may lead to patients being asked to make other plans for their care. If you witness or are the target of any of these behaviors, please report it to a member of your care team as soon as possible.

Many healthcare systems across the country have similar codes of conduct. For further reference, you can also find this Code of Conduct on our webpage. If you have questions, email our Office Manager, Tracy Locke CMPE at tlocke@postroadpediatrics.com.

Going forward, we hope that you feel you are able to adhere to the standards delineated above. We enjoy seeing you and your family and feel privileged to continue to serve as your primary care physician. However, if the above is not acceptable to you, or if events violating our Code of Conduct recur in the future, we can facilitate your transfer to another practice that might better meet your needs.

Respectfully,

Post Road Pediatrics Care Team
